The shoe rack arrived this afternoon and I set to work immediately putting it together. I was so tired of the shoe clutter that would take over my teeny entryway and tripping over our regular shoe rack was irritating!Instructions were minimal, but easy enough to follow. The parts list was a huge help in knowing where to begin, and I was happy to find they included a little plastic hammer to help tap the brackets in place. Putting it together proved finicky and time-consuming, and the side panels (especially the doors) are flimsier than I expected. From the photos here they looked like solid sheets of hard plastic, but in reality they’re little thicker than vellum and dimple very easily. At least the frames that hold the panels together are metal, but it too was not as expected - they’re not much thicker than a wire coat hanger!Once I got everything fitted together in the brackets, I set to work zip-tying the separate cubes together. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP, especially if you’re going to place the cubes in any configuration other than a tower. I chose to have two stacks of two cubes each side by side (pictured) to fit them under my coat hooks behind my front entry. These zip ties are essential to holding this mess together. I just wish there were more included. 30 of them wasn’t really enough for me to feel like it could withstand my toddler using it. Luckily, I had more of them kicking around.Because I didn’t ever intend to have this sitting on the floor, I took to extra measures to secure it to my wall. I stuck the wall mounts where I needed them, then drove nails in through the holes in the mounts. Then I threaded a light gauge wire through the brackets and then through the panel frames. I added bumpers (the sticky foam pad kind you would usually use to pad the bottom of table legs) to keep the rack from flapping against the wall then carefully tapped a few plastic staples (the kind you’d use to anchor dangling electrical cords to walls) to hold the rack to the wall in a few extra places. Seems solid and secure enough now, but only time will tell.A couple more things to note:1. Fits more shoes per cube than I expected; I could just fit my worn in, mens size 15 (US sizing ) loafers and a pair of foam sandals one cube, and I really hadn’t expected those enormous shoes to fit at all. My wife (size 10 in US women’s), and my 13 year old (size 7 US women’s) can each fit three pairs, and my three year old has 4 pairs in her cube.2. Though I only assembled 4 of the six cubes, I’m grateful I ordered the largest rack; I have a feeling I’m going to need “spare” parts in the near future.3. It really does fit behind my door4. My shoe chaos is contained and looks so much better!5. Boots don’t fit at all. My teen adores platform boots and they absolutely don’t fit into the bins. They’re getting stashed in our closet I guess.I hope this holds up, because despite the obvious negatives, it sure does make my entire foyer area look tidy an uncluttered. This slimline style shoe rack in exactly what i needed. It tucks easily behind a door and saves a ton of space. The directions aren't the easiest to follow, but once you figure it out, you can put it together on about 20 minutes. My order was missing the top shelf, but customer service sent out a quick replacement. I currently have an assortment of shoes in it, men's dress shoes, women's running shoes, chuck taylors, and birkenstocks, and it does a great job with all of them, I am probably going to get a few more to put in other rooms. If you're on the fence - go ahead and get it!This product is pretty good! I was searching high and low for something like this but everything similar cost at least $150. It doesn’t look as sleek and modern as the photo advertised, but it’s not bad. Mine was missing one piece but tbh it doesn’t really affect the functionality so I didn’t reach out to the seller. If you have sandals you can definitely fit more than 2 pairs in each cube, but sneakers and heels it’s only gonna be 2. I was afraid of the sturdiness but it comes with wall mounting stickies so it doesn’t fall over. Mines been up for a few days and so far so good. Compared to the prices of other slim/ wall shoe racks I’d say I’m pretty happy with it. If you’re on a budget with a small space and need to clean up your shoes, this will work great. Putting it together wasn’t so bad, all of the pieces put together the same way so once you figure it out you’re good. Can’t lie it was a little confusing but nothing you can’t figure out. The door obviously doesn’t open all the way but having a whole shoe rack behind it it opens a good amount. The only reason I gave 4/5 is because the photo advertised is kinda different from what I’d actually is. It’s all pretty much plasticy material. Other than that it’s great.I built a tier and a half and called it quits. Definitely get what you pay for on the this. It's kind of a pain in the butt to build. Not hard to built, just irritating. The plastic clips have to snap into place, yet when you snap another panel in place, many times it pulls out the previous panel. The wall attachment are thin stickers that attach by hanging from zip ties. This might work in a low traffic area where shoes are stored more than actually accessed. If you are going to use this for primary storage access like a front door, you'll probably want to spend more money and get something that last. As I was building it too, I realized that since the bottom of the shoes rest on a white panel and the door is clear, when shoes aren't in place you'll be able to look into a pretty nasty cubby over time. I was only thinking about being able to see what shoes were in what cubby originally, but I learned. Not an awful product. Would probably work great for many, just definitely not up to my needs and standards for our project. The instructions that was provided was not related to this unit I had a challenging time at first I had to take a breath and figure it out myself the material is very delicate if you pushed the wrong way you can see you can tear as you see in my first photo which I had to use tape all in all it's a good item for what I need it for my shoes and it's fit perfect behind my door you probably have to use your own Mallet because the one they provided is very small and may not do the job. The price could have been a little less for all the work that I had to do .THIS SHOE RACK HELPED SOLVE MY PROBLEM WITH HAVING ALL OF MY SHOES ALL OVER THE PLACE. FYI - I USED DRYWALL SCREWS; SCREWED IN AT A DIAGONAL SOMEWHAT AS IF YOU WERE HANGING A PICTURE. I DID NOT FEEL AS THOUGH JUST USING THE STICKY BACKS AND THE PLASTIC ZIP TIES [THAT CAME WITH IT] WERE GOING TO HOLD IT UP ONCE I ADDED 12 PAIRS OF SHOES IN IT.
